FAQ-Frequently asked questions about the balloon show

Question: Does the big balloon ever pop?
Answer: Yes, the balloon used in the Balloon Show is a custom made balloon out of the same latex used for a regular party balloon. James Johnson has to be very careful throughout the show making sure nothing static or sharp comes close to the balloon or else you will hear a very loud POP!
Question: What is it like inside the Balloon?
Answer: You can see for yourself if you are very lucky! James Johnson thinks it is a life changing experience that should be shared with others. He is one of only professional entertainers that puts audience members inside the balloon with him. Besides the opening of the balloon being very tight, the inside is a unique feeling like being underwater or on another planet. It's hard to describe in words. That's why James invites audience members inside the balloon. WOW! What a great photo opportunity.
Question: What is your favorite part of the show?
Answer: Watching people’s expression when they climb inside the balloon is the most exciting part of the show for James. Just be sure that you haven’t had a heavy helping of beans the night before.
Question: Where do you get the Balloons you use in your show and how much do they cost?
Answer: The balloons are custom ordered for the Magical Daredevil Comedy Show and cost around $100.00 dollars depending on how many he orders. This means you will find it very difficult to find a balloon this size at your local party shop. Please do not try climbing into a balloon yourself. It can be very dangerous and James does not advise anyone to try it. It has taken James a long time to perfect the show and has gained the experience to perform the show very safely.
Question: How many people can fit into a 6ft Rubber latex balloon?
Answer: The record for the most adults that James has ever put into the balloon is 18 adults including him. It was a very tight fit and incredibly difficult. If your school, business or event would like to try and set a world record or do a great publicity stunt, please contact James. Your local newspaper will be glad you did.
Question: Do you have enough air inside the balloon when you climb inside?
Answer: Each show James picks a safety crew to manage the electric or gas leaf blower so there is enough air for the show to be performed. It is not known exactly how much oxygen is in the 6ft space of the balloon. Nevertheless, James manages to survive and the audience is always on the edge of their seat until the show is over. The overall show is very safe even though it may not look like it, especially if you are claustrophobic.

Question: Can you use the balloon over again?
Answer: I wish! The balloon is blown up very large which stretches the balloon so much that it gets weak if it were to be used again. The grand finale of the show is blowing up the balloon with who ever is inside. This is the best part of the show because it can get very large. It's even better if you are inside!
Question: How big was the largest person that has climb into the balloon been?
Answer: Not to name any names but the largest person that has ever climbed into the balloon with me was at least double my size. The hole is only about 6 inches wide and can suck clothing right off your body if you’re not careful. It's a tight fit for most and I think this is one of the reasons why the Magical Daredevil Comedy Show is so funny. The best is when someone gets stuck! That's when the safety crew saves the day.
